Bible Question: Was the lady at the fountain, that jesus spoke with also the lady later on who washed his feet with her tears and dried them with her hair? |
Bible Answer: Greetings Believer_1, You asked, "Was the lady at the fountain, that jesus spoke with also the lady later on who washed his feet with her tears and dried them with her hair?" So, you are asking if the woman in John 4:7-29 is the same woman spoken of in Luke 7:37-47? If the lady in John is a Samaritan (John 4:7) and the lady in Luke is from Nain (Luke 7:11), then this would not be the same woman. Also, the woman in John 4:7-29 could not be the same woman in Matthew 26:6-13; Mark 14:3-9; John 12:1-8), since that woman was not a sinner, and Jesus was eating in the home of Simon the leper, which was in Bethany (Matt. 26:6). Blessings to you, Makarios |
