Bible Note: Hi ItsMe, Colossians 2:9 says "For in him (Jesus) the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily," This was written after Jesus' resurrection and ascention. Deut. 4:24 says the LORD is a consuming fire. In Exodus 33:20. God tells Moses "Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live." Job lays ahold of this truth in his desire to be right with God, recognizing that "there is no mediator between us, who might lay his hand on both of us." (9:33) Jesus, as both God and Man, can do that. As man, He has the right of redemption, because our Redeemer has to be a near kinsman, and as God, He has the ability to redeem us, because the redeemer has to be able to afford the price. We do not always understand how these things can be, but we recognize that this is what the Bible teaches. And so we walk in the truth, and in this, God blesses us, and gives us greater understanding. There are things we probibly will not understand so long as we live in this world. It is enough to believe what the Bible says. Most things, I think, we will understand. Once again, I reduced myself to rambling! :-) I hope at least some of this has helped! Love in Christ, Mark |
