Bible Question:
Reading John 3:1-10, Having a little trouble understanding, birth, water, spirit. I belive water means being batized, birth being born to God, spirit means to believe in him. Hope you can explain. Thank you so much |
Bible Answer: Hello sweet I respectfully disagree with mroulez on this. My take is that this refers back to: Ezekiel 36:25-26 (ESV) I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you. [26] And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. That is why Nicodemus should have understood what the Lord was talking about. Steve |
