Subject: TO KNOW JESUS IS TO LOVE JESUS |
Bible Note: That's a tender, utopian thought, fran, but does it ring true to Scripture, or is it wishful thinking? Is Jesus changing the world? It has been a fallen world since the garden of Eden. Did Jesus ever say that all the world would be changed, that all men everywhere would be saved? Whom does He change and Whom does He save? The whole world? Obviously not. That's universalism and Jesus never taught that. John 3:16 answers the question of who will be changed, who will be saved, who will inherit eternal life. And Jesus laid it down quite clearly that "narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it." (cf. Matthew 7:13,14). ..... Few find it. The rest of the world continues to go to hell in a handbasket. --Hank |
