NASB | John 21:18 "Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were younger, you used to gird yourself and walk wherever you wished; but when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands and someone else will gird you, and bring you where you do not wish to go." |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | John 21:18 "I assure you and most solemnly say to you, when you were younger you dressed yourself and walked wherever you wished; but when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands and arms, and someone else will dress you, and carry you where you do not wish to go." |
Bible Question: Which disciple was cruicfied upside down on the cross? And where can it be found in the Bible? |
Bible Answer: Greetings Crystalight, Peter was the disciple that was crucified upside down since he thought himself not worthy of being crucified in the same manner as was the Lord Jesus Christ. Peter's death, and the manner thereof, cannot be found in the Bible (the closest Scripture that comes closest to mentioning Peter's death is John 21:18), but it is recorded in Fox's Book of Martyrs. Blessings to you, Makarios |
