Bible Question:
I and my father are one. When Christians refer to God, do they mean Jesus, and if so, why call do they call him God, and not by his name, Jesus? Recent prayer services around the world in the aftermath of the Trade Center, where gatherings of multi- deific worshippers to mourn the disaster are a case in point. Worshipers were worshiping different gods in the houses dedicated to Jesus, in the company of men supposedly dedicated to the service of the only Christ, Jesus. |
Bible Answer: outfora, Thomas called Jesus God. But, not everytime say God, do we mean Jesus, who is the Son of God. It could be the Father or the Spirit. There is only one God ... demons also believe, and shudder (Jam 2:19). Yes, there have been services that called on Allah and other gods, even in places where "Christians" go. I don't think that is crrect. I hope I answered your questions, Steve |
