Subject: Who Carried Jesus' Cross? |
Bible Note: Hank, thanks for helping me to see this verse more clearly. When I first saw John 19:17, I thought it was saying that Jesus bore His cross to Golgotha, but on closer examination I realize that it is saying they took Him there and as He started out He bore His own cross, but not nescisarily(sp) to His final destination. I just finished reading John and Ive noticed that since it was the last gospel written, John included some details that the other gospel writers left out like Jesus actually bore His cross for a time before Simon assisted Him. |
