Bible Answer: Hi Momma2, Be of good cheer. In this world you will have tribulation, Jesus has overcome the world. [John 16:33] We are in a war. The weapons of our warfare of not carnal, but mighty to the pulling down of strongholds. [2 Cor.10:4] If you are being attacked or having trouble, I would say it is more likely that the devil is mad at losing you and wants to trip you up. For he (the devil) goes about like a roaring lion seeking who he may devour. [I Peter 5:8] The devil comes to steal , kill and destroy. Jesus came to give life. [John 10:10] Discouragement is one of his major weapons. An old hymn of the church says, "Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face. And the things of this world grow strangely dim in the light of His beauty and grace." Focus on Jesus and in all things give thanks. [I Thess 5:18] He who has begun a good work in you will complete it. [Phil. 1:6] Hope this helps. Bows44 |
