Bible Question: Can some one help me out with explaining clearly John 16:19-33. It was my devotions today and needed more explanation. Thanks |
Bible Answer: I will try to help with John 16:23 "In that day you will not question Me about anything. Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He will give it to you." And John 16:26 "In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I will request of the Father on your behalf; 27 for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have believed that I came forth from the Father." "In that day" refers to the day of Pentecost when the disciples received the Holy Spirit. Jesus was explaining that He was going away so that the disciples could receive the Holy Spirit and could then ask the Father for anything in His name. |
