Bible Question: can someone give me the essence of this quote and how it relates to life in general individually as children of God? |
Bible Answer: Hi, naetaylomae! Jesus, the Word Incarnate, as the Lamb of God (John 1:29), did not come to reveal all; His function was to fulfill Scripture, return God's people to the Law (the Law had been circumvented and altered throughout the years), establish the New Covenant (Salvation through His Blood, a new form of worship--open to the gentiles and in a spiritual plane, establishing of the Church, sending of the Holy Spirit)... Jesus makes preparations for the Church to receive the Holy Spirit who will come with the fullness of Truth and Knowledge (John 14:16-17,26; 15:26; 16:7-15)... if you read the book of Acts, you will notice the evolution of the Church as the Holy Spirit teaches and guides it. God Bless! Angel |
