Bible Answer: Dear Tin, The word translated "mansion" in the KJV only appears twice in the New Testament: John 14:2 and 23. In Jesus day the custom was for each son to add rooms onto the Father's house. When a son married, he and his bride would move into these rooms to begin raising a family.
