Bible Question: why did no disciple try to stop Judas Iscariot |
Bible Answer: The reason why the disciples didn't stop him, was because they didn't know who Jesus was refering to when he spoke of the person who was going to betray him. John 13:18-19 I am not speaking of and I do not mean all of you. Iknow whom I have chosen; but it is that the Scripture may be fullfilled, He who eats My bread with Me has raised up his heel against me. I tell you this now before it occurs, so that when it does take place you may be pursuaded and believe that I am He [Who I say I am--the Christ, the Anionted One, the Messiah]. The disciples didn't stop Judas because he was possesed by satan(v.27), and every thing that Jesus said had to happen so that the disciples would believe in Him. |
