Bible Question: A non-believer asked this question about John 13:27. If our God is God of love, why did He encourage Judas to betray Him by saying "What you do, do quickly"? How can I answer this? Pls help. |
Bible Answer: Hello iktoose, Jesus did not encourage Judas to betray Him. He knew Judas would betray and did not stop him. The betrayal was going to happen--Judas was just given his cue to act. Ultimately, you can say that this was the way Jesus showed the greatness of God's love (Rom 5:8). Steve |
