Bible Question:
Thanks, inmyheart. Powerful verses you cite... But I was really looking for insight as to how Satan operates (from Scripture, of course). Can he cause my neighbor to do something thoughtless, tempting me to anger? Can he cause a friend to lie to me, planting bitterness in my heart? Can he put evil thoughts in my mind?? Any input is appreciated! --Cheryl |
Bible Answer: Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service. Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. And be not conformed to this world, meaning don't be squeezed or pressured into the mold of this world. We are to be transformed, or changed. And the way to be changed is to renew our mind. For us to get to our destiny and purpose in life, we have to transformed. The born-again experience has elevated us to a higher standard, and once we are elevated to that higher standard of living we are to renew our mind, and "bring our minds" up to that higher standard, so we can operate effectively. We want to make it to our destiny, one of the things we found out is that the enemy (satan) is after our souls. Our souls consist of our mind, will and emotions. In Matthew 6:25, we are not to worry, well one the the ways the enemy will attack you in through your mind, he will send a thought, and we are to cast those those thoughts down or out of our minds. In fact the bible instructs us on what to think about in Philippians 4:8-9. Well, this can go into a study, so I'll stop here. I pray that this has given you some information. Don't forget Jesus, is the author and finisher of our faith, we have the victory! God bless. P.S. Yes, to all of your ? |
