Subject: What does "THE ARM OF THE LORD" mean? |
Bible Note: Hi Magdala, I can offer you some comparison verses that might give you a connection between His holy arm and healing. God has done wonderful things..."His right hand and His holy arm have gained the victory for (Him)." Psalm 98:1b. I can see that the Lord Jesus Christ is spoken of here but unlike Risen I do not capitalize Arm. Psalm 97:10, "Hate evil, you who love the (Lord), Who preserves the souls of His godly ones; **He delivers them from the hands of the wicked." Isaiah 19:20, "for they will cry to the Lord/because of their oppressors, and He will send them a Savior and a (Mighty) One, and **He will deliver them." Psalm 98:2, "The Lord has made known **His salvation; He has revealed His righteousness in the sight of the nations. He has remembered His/lovingkindness and His faithfulness to the house of Israel; All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God." John 12:36, "While you have the Light, believe in the Light, in order that you may become sons of (Light)." John 8:12, "Again therefore Jesus spoke to them, saying "I am the (Light) of the world; he who follows Me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the **Light of life." John 9:5, ""While I am in the world, I am the (Light) of the world." When He had said this, **He spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and applied the clay to his eyes,...washed..and came back seeing." John 11:10, "But if anyone walks in the night, he stumbles, because the **Light is not in him." John 12:37, "But though He had performed so many signs before them, yet they were not believing in Him; that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke, 'Lord/, who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?' For this cause they could not believe, for Isaiah said again, 'He has blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; lest they see with their eyes, and perceive with their heart, and be converted, and (I) heal them.' These things Isaiah said, because he saw His glory, and he spoke of **Him." John 3:20, "For everyone who does evil hates the (Light), and does not come to the Light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who practices the truth comes to the **Light, that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God." Micah 7:7, "But as for me, I will watch expectantly for the Lord; I will wait for the God/ of my salvation. My God will hear me. Do not rejoice over me, O my enemy. Though I fall I will rise; Though I dwell in darknes, the Lord is a light for me. I will bear the indignation of the (Lord) Because I have sinned against Him, Until **He pleads my case and executes justice for me. He will bring me out to the light, And I will see His righteousness." Isaiah 19:22--John 12:40 From the heart, Ray |
