Subject: Every single person? |
Bible Note: David, I am sorry it took me so long to respond ... I have been busy with my family, leg and work. Is the Lord Jesus speaking of every single person that ever did or ever will walk the face of the earth? Is He speaking of all who those who walk the earth after His death on the cross? or, Since this was a mised crowd of Jews and Greeks He was speaking to, is He just simply letting both Jews and Greek know that He will go beyond the Jews to chose His elect? John 3:14-15 comes to mind. Numbers 21:8-9 is the OT cross reference, which for me implies that not everyone looked at the bronze snake. This with other prophecies make me think He draws people before, at and after the cross. Hebrews Hall of Heroes and the centurion comes to mind. So is He speaking of every single person ...? It is desire that all will be saved (2 Pet 3:9) ... but, not all will. It is our choice. He is also letting us know it He is talking about the Jews and Greeks. I hope I answered your questions, Searcher |
