Bible Question:
Reading11:7-16 Sorry John 11 I think that the spiritual meaning of John 11:9-10 is anyone walks in day,he does not stumble, during these hours,no harm could come to Jesus and the disciples, they must work before night of Jesus passions. I believe that lesson for us in this scripture is that, we must work for Jesus in light(to believe in his words) and not sin( to walk in dark) |
Bible Answer: Greetings Sweet, You are close but these verses have a deeper meaning than that. If you read verse 8 it tells you that the disciples were worried about Jesus going back to Judea where the Jews wanted to stone Him. If you stay in context it is then referring to Jesus remaining safe. Jesus said as long as He performed His Father's will (during the daylight period of His ministry) He was safe. But soon the time would come when His earthly work would end according to God's plan of redemption and Jesus would "stumble" into darkness. Jesus was telling them that as long as He was doing His Father's work, even this late in His ministry, He was safe and no harm would come to Him no matter where He went. prayon |
