Bible Question:
Hello. Can you please tell me how I can tell when God is speaking to me? Thank you |
Bible Answer: God can speak to you in a variety of ways. The bible is His word to you in general sense. But He will also speak to you in a personal sense. Who should I marry? Should I change careers? He cares about you and all the details of your life. The "how" I can tell is it is God and not something else is harder to convey. The bible says we are His sheep and we can hear his voice. He will always give you a peace in your decision making. Some authors I trust on subject are Charles Stanley - www.intouch.org, Joyce Meyer, www.joycemeyer.org. There are others, these 2 are well balanced. You have to practise hearing God, but he will talk to you(lead you) peace is the way to know it is God, Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Be patient, be neither slow to react or fast to react. When you know it is God - DO IT. If are married, be in agreement with your spouse before moving ahead. |
