Bible Question: How is the teaching of Jesus in John 10:1-18 lived out in His resurrection appearance to Mary Magdalene? |
Bible Answer: Hi shael, I recognize or perceive the connection here to another question of yours, #117815. The Lord was recognized by Mary because she knows His voice and knows how He speaks with her. The Good Shepherd knows His own and His own know Him. Mary knew her Rabbi, her Teacher. She had been taught of God. John 20:16, "Jesus said to her, "Mary!" She turned and said to *Him in Hebrew, "Rabboni!" (which means, Teacher/). John 10:3, [capitalized pronouns my interpretation] "When He puts forth all His own, He goes before them, and the sheep follow Him because they know *His voice." From the heart, Ray |
