Bible Note: Peter means STONE.. Simon means HE HAS HEARD.. remember Jesus changed his name because Peter spoke up quickly without doubt who Jesus was... Jesus than granted him a NEW name because HE HAD HEARD FROM GOD THE FATHER.. Jesus spoke in Matt. 16:17.. neither flesh nor blood has revealed this but my father which is in heaven... It doesn't really state WHEN HIS NAME WAS ACTUALLY CHANGED.. John 1:42, explains what Peter means.. SO I think his name was changed ONCE "HE HAS HEARD" from God... |
