NASB | John 1:13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | John 1:13 who were born, not of blood [natural conception], nor of the will of the flesh [physical impulse], nor of the will of man [that of a natural father], but of God [that is, a divine and supernatural birth--they are born of God--spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified]. |
Bible Question:
Polemically, why is there few who think ver. 13 is connected to 12 rather than 14? In other words why not the Logos incarnation rather than human redemption? |
Bible Answer: saint-george, Why wouldn't all three of these verses conected? The first fourteen verses say a whole lot about this subject. (Incarnation,Salvation) That's why I've stated on other occasions the importance of looking at things in context. It takes allot of guess work and speculation out of the equation. In Him, lionheart |
