Bible Question: I believe in him yet still do to much wrong, do I still have eternal life? |
Bible Answer: 1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. Our human bodies sins but when we are in Christ our spirit within us should be distressed by our sin. We should desire to repent and seek forgiveness, we should be repulsed by sin. We should find ourselves in a state of unrest where we sense something is wrong and we need to make it right. That is when we go to God confess our sin, repent of it and allow the blood of Jesus to wash it from us. If you can sin and be comfortable then you should be questioning your salavation, however if you sin and all of the above occur you can be sure the Holy spirit within you is grieved by your sin and this is why everything is out of shape. It is those that call themselves Christians that live in sin and feel comfortable doing it that need to worry. EdB |
