Bible Question: I am looking for any reference to God having walked the earth, either before Adam or after. I often hear people say "God walked the earth a thousand years before there was any life". However, I did come upon a non-biblical notation that stated there is no reference to such an act having occured. Can anyone concur? Thank You. |
Bible Answer: I suppose it is up to interpretation, but John 1-5 talks about God and Christ as the Word living before all else was created...does that mean he took some physical form to walk the earth - I'm not sure, but I guess what I'm suggesting is that here is a scripture that suggests that God created everything and all life is Him and comes from within Him, so in that sense maybe God didn't need to physically "walk" the earth, because it came from within him. In fact, maybe the term here that should be examined is "walked" - do we really mean laid foot or can we mean something else by walked? Just some thoughts - it may not be of much help..... |
