Bible Question: i dont know very much about the bible but i want to learn where do i start reading and how do i get started |
Bible Answer: It is very good that you have interest in the Bible. One way is to start off with one of the four gospel in New Testament - Matthew Mark Luke and John. The John book is a very readable book and in your reading , try to learn with a focus or theme, may be Who is Jesus ? And learn to know the Lord himself. The reasons why we start with New testament are that you need not know too much about the historical backgrounds as in Old testament. Another suggestion is that you might consider joining a church (e.g. Anglicans or Methodist) study group. They will be very much of assistance to you. The NIV version is a much simplified version because it uses simple English that you and I speak today. God bless your Christmas |
