Bible Question:
Emmaus, Thank you for the reply. Can you further elaborate? Does this mean that the Kingdom of God referred in the verse is the Church Jesus established. My idea of Kingdom of God is Heaven. The Church we have now can hardly be called paradise? It is full of disagreements, power play and competition. If the Kingdom of God is here, where did Jesus go when He ascended. Myself, being a member of this Church, am I already in the Kingdom of God? I am confused. God Bless. Ngop |
Bible Answer: Hi Ngop, As I read your post this scripture came to mind. James 4:1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your own lusts that war in your members? If each believer was perfectly Spirit led and had a perfectly renewed mind to the Truth as presented in scripture and revealed by the Holy Spirit, the kingdom of God would be what it should be. There would be no disagreements and divisions among us. So the kingdom of God is not imperfect, us human members are imperfect and do not always reflect a correct image of the kingdom of God. And will not until 'that which is perfect has come and we see not through the glass darkly but clearly having ALL darkness revealed.(When we are face to face with Jesus.) God bless |
