Bible Question:
The Wedding at Cana in the book of John 2, 1-11 Jesus turns a large amount of water into wine and as verse 10 explains the wine was considered very good wine "You have kept the best until now" NLT, I find it hard to beleive that Jesus would have turned the water into alcoholic wine. However, Its also hard to beleive that the best wine was unfermented grape Juice. Can anyone shed some light on this? |
Bible Answer: Luke 7:33 For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, "He has a demon.' 34 The Son of Man has come eating and drinking, and you say, "Look, a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!' Jesus drank wine. 1 Timothy 5:23 No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for your stomach's sake and your frequent infirmities. The Bible tells us wine is healthy and to drink a little bit. The Pilgrims drank beer because they thought it to be more healthy than water. George Washington's favorite brew was made with pumpkin. Today we know that wine is healthy in small doses. Medical science shows it to clean the arteries and prevent heart attack and stoke. The Bible tells us that wine is good "for your infirmities" 2000 years ago. Who is more advanced? |
