Bible Question: In Matthew 3:17 it appears to me that John the baptist saw with his own eyes the spirit of God, in the form of a dove, and heard with his own ears a voice from heaven say, "This is my son". In Luke 7:19 John sends two of his disciples to Jesus, to ask if he was the one to come or should they expect another. What do you think the reason John would have this question in light of the knowledge he already knew? |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... Isa 61:1-2, Luke 7:18-23 ... msbblc, greetings. John knew the OT and the works of the Messiah. he didn't see the kingdom coming. He may of just wanted reassurnace. Hope this helps, Searcher |
