Bible Question: I've been studying the Lords prayer , intently, for 13 years and I'm finally up to "lead us not into temptation", help me with "lead us not". |
Bible Answer: eisenegkas - to carry/bring into. Like the friends of the paralytic brought him into the house where Jesus was. Also 1 Tim 6:7 We brought nothing into the world. Another meaning (maybe earlier) was "to introduce". An interesting thought - "and do not introduce us into trials." I would like to hear what you gathered in studying the example prayer sometime. |
