Bible Question:
Question re: Rev. 19:10 NIV 10At this I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, "Do not do it! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." I'd like the meaning of this explained to me. Thanx Sarah Violent_Chook |
Bible Answer: Revelation 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. The angel is saying that this whole prophetic book is a revelation of Jesus Christ, that all that it says speaks of the Glory of Christ, He is the one that is worthy of our worship. The Holy Spirit in our heart is given to us to testify of Jesus Christ. John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: Actually all prophecy even in the Old Testament has behind it the testimony of Jesus Christ. |
