Bible Answer: Hello, Elmario... Apa kabar? (That is the only Indonesian that I know. I learned it from an engineer with whom I worked a few years back. He might have taught me a few other words, but memory fails me.) When I looked into your question about the name Admin, here is what I discovered: Translators of the Bible go back to the earliest manuscripts that they have available. The KJV translators used one called the Textus Receptus. That manuscript does not contain the name Admin in Luke 3:33. However, since that time, other manuscripts have been discovered. The NASB translators tried to use these manuscripts -- some of them older than the Textus Receptus -- to do their translation. Some of those manuscripts had the name Admin in them. So they researched many other sources. They found historic reasons to include the name and historic reasons not to include the name. Christians have been studying the Scriptures for many centuries. Some of those scholars were from schools in North Africa and the Middle-east. Even those early scholars did not necessarily agree. The NASB translators, however, finally decided enough evidence existed to include the name. Apparently the ESV translators agreed with them. I hope that you will find this explanation helpful.
