Bible Note: Christmas is the day that we as Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus the Christ. However, this day, can also be looked at as a birthday. We can see in it, the birthday of the Church, wherein is all our hope as born again Christians. 1 Cor 15:13 "But if there is no resurrection of the dead, not even Christ has been raised; and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain. Moreover we are even found to be false witnesses of God, because we testified against God that He raised Christ, whom He did not raise, if in fact the dead are not raised. For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised; and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If we have hoped in Christ in this life only, we are of all men most to be pitied." But we who are in Christ, are not to be pitied, we have that hope, and it is a hope that we can take hold of and keep in our hearts. It is a hope that is beyond all hope, it is a hope that is real. This hope, is the very foundation of our faith. We can know, beyond all worldly knowledge, that Jesus is the Christ; and we can put all that we posses in Him. All our knowledge, all our emotions, all of our dreams, all of our strength, all of our very inner and outer self, and all that we will ever be, all that we are, is from to Him. Born again in the Spirit to life eternal, by the blood that was shed on the Cross of Christ for all the world, and for anyone, that will turn from their sins, and turn to Him, Jesus Christ, our Lord and saviour. Happy birthday everyone! God bless. John |
