Bible Question: According to this passage, why were the disciples prevented from recognizing Jesus? |
Bible Answer: Hi, Gigi... The disciples didn't recognize Him because He appeared to them "in another form" (Mark 16:12). It also appears that God actually effected their vision. From strictly a human standpoint, Christ would have been the last person they expected to see! This event is of value to us in reinforcing the purpose for Christ's redemptive work (Luke 24:25-27).
