Bible Question: is paradise the same as heaven? |
Bible Answer: manibonnie The word paradise can be used two ways, one talking about a particular place or 2 as description of a place. In Luke 23:43 Jesus was using the term referring to a particular place. Jesus upon His death went to (Abraham's bosom) paradise to preach the Good News to the those that had died looking or their Messiah the righteous and lead them to Heaven. The theif Jesus was talking about upon his death would be in paradise and was lead by Jesus to heaven. In other places the term is used as a descriptive reference to Heaven. See Id # 77767 EdB |
