Subject: Luke 23:43 where is the thief? |
Bible Note: hello all, i have just registered for this forum and this is my first post in it. The discussion has been very thought provoking indeed. I am no authority on scriptures but as a layman, I believe that if a punctuation was altered during the translations, it had to be coming from God himself(2 Ti 3:16) as in Jesus' own words that a kingdom divided(in interpretation of the Word) itself is brought to desolation(Mt 12:25,Lu 11:17) and therefore it needs to be taken literally.I think the answer lies in believing where Jesus went that day after commending his spirit in God's hand(which, by the way, is figurative, as it seems to be, even in those final moments). But it is quite possible that Jesus could see what others could not(God's hand, for instance as I doubt that he'd converse poetically with the Almighty) and who knows for Jesus it is just a day between between the crucifixion and judgement. I hope God shows light to make us understand his way. Saved thru Him Sozo |
