Bible Note: How about we apply some simple grammer instead? One use of a comma is to identify a change in sentance focus, or to even to add emphasis on what is immediately following. It is not a gigantic leap in logic to believe that such is the case here. The phrase following the comma needed emphasis. Besides, put this phrase before an English Grammer expert and see what they would say. I'm sure they would give a similar answer. Again ..
