Bible Question: The repentant robber crucified with Christ. I always believed it was the one on Christ's right hand side. I recently watched a VHS tape collection titled "The Living Bible" and the actor of Christ turns his head to his left to speak to this man. Can you tell me chapter and verse in my "Revised Standard Version" bible that I can find the answer. Or tell me yourself. Thanx |
Bible Answer: 39 And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. In Matt 27, and Luke 23 it doesn't distinguish between a right or left side for the thief. |
