Bible Note: Hi again WOS. Sorry for the delay, have a look please at John 20:30-31. Now Elijah performed miracles, but was not the Christ, Elisha performed miracles, but was not the Christ, Moses performed miracles, but was not the Christ. John says at v31 "But these" refering to what I have said before, certain miracles that only the Messiah when He came would be able to perform. John makes it quite clear that Jesus performing "these" miracles prove beyond any shadow of doubt that He is the Christ. Now please read the whole of Ch 9 of John. What had our Lord done, but to give sight to one born blind, a good deed, there is no Scripture forbidding doing good deeds on the Sabbath, so why were the Pharisees so extreem, so over the top in there opposition to Him, even going so far as to excomunicate the one who had his sight given to him? Note v32, and also v41, where our Lord uses the words "blind", and "see", with the meaning of knowledge, in other words "You know very well who I am, and therefore "Your guilt remains". All scripture references are from the ESV May the Lord bless you WOS, and all who use this web site. pabrain. |
