Bible Note: Hi, Source... The specific time of Christ's birth is provided by Luke in chapter 2:1-6. We do not deem any day is more halloed than another. However, we do not fault others who may do so by the dictates of their own conscience (Romans 14:5-6; Colossians 2:16-17). Not doing so is an explicit command, by the way. We live in a cultural and historical context, as did all those in the Scriptures. Not all of our practices are based on explicit commands, nor do we proscribe everything that lacks an explicit command.
