Bible Note: Bowler, I spend most of my time in Administration and Christian Education at school. Sometimes I am on top of my Greek, other times not as much so. Second, I find this webpage a real encouagement to my spiritual life. I could have pulled a book off the shelf for the ten thousandth time, but asked a Christain brother and you got the blessing as well as I got my answer. I also learned a new webpage I will add to my links. Luke 22:15f reads in as literal English "And he said to them: With desire I desired this passover to eat with you before the me to suffer, for I tell you that no more by no means I eat it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God. In English we are only allowed one negative per sentence. In Greek, this is not true. They can use as many negatives for emphasis as they desire. Double and triple negatives are one of the more difficult translation difficulties. Here Jesus is telling the disciples he isn't going to eat the communion service until the Kingdom of God. Hebrews 13:5, Without the love of money [the] way of the life being satisfied with the things present hath said, I will never leave the nor forsake thee. Again, Jesus words, or emphasis that he would never leave us under any condition. don www.diduask.com |
