AMPLIFIED 2015 | Luke 21:24 "And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led captive into all nations; and Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled (completed). [Is 63:18; Dan 8:13] |
Bible Question: My studies have shown me that Luke's gospel is about the christian message (which is for everyone). What I need to know is how is this theme developed in other New Testament writings. (Some more insights which highlight HOW Luke's Gospel is about the christian message for everybody would be greatly appreciated). |
Bible Answer: I enthusiastically support your conclusion that Luke's message of hope, more so than that of Mark or Matthew, has all peoples in mind. This is seen in chapters 17 and 21. In verses 35 and 36 of both chapters we see Jesus concerned with those who will seek His mercy in order to be "kept alive" and to "escape all the things coming on all inhabitants of earth at His Apocalypse." Luke 17:30,33,35,36; Luke 21:35,36. Mel www.lastday.net. |
