Bible Question: Is there a scripture in the bible pertaining to "being about business in business"? |
Bible Answer: Hi, Pryor! If I take your meaning: There are bunches of things in Scripture that apply to business! Here are only a few: Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. (Proverbs 22:29) Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds. For riches are not for ever: and doth the crown endure to every generation? (Proverbs 27:23-24) There is nothing better for a man, than that he should eat and drink, and that he should make his soul enjoy good in his labour. This also I saw, that it was from the hand of God. (Ecclesiastes 2:24) He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster. (Proverbs 18:9) And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the Name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him. (Colossians 3:17) Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed. And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort. (1 Timothy 6:1-2) In Him, Doc |
