Bible Question: When was Jesus given the last name Christ |
Bible Answer: God's day to you, 561joshua01, and welcome to the SBF, Good question. Ask more, even share your thoughts. Luke 2:11 is the first time He is called the Christ which means "Anointed One", a translation of the Hebrew Messiah. In Matthew 1:21 Joesph was told to name Him Jesus. Christ is not His last name ... it was Bar Joesph - son of Joesph. The Bible uses Jesus Christ and even add Lord to describe Him fully. I hope this helps, Searcher |
