Subject: what does this verse mean? |
Bible Note: Hello yvette! Debbie has a good response here.. I will answer your question without the "help" of any resources whatsoever, just me and the Bible.. :) Luke 19:40.. We see the triumphal entry of Jesus coming into Jerusalem. After reading this, Jesus says, 'if these become silent'.. He doesn't say 'when' or say that they will become silent, just "if" they do- that is, if the people make the choice to become silent. Then He says, 'the stones will cry out'! In other words, there is nothing in this world that will be able to withhold the praise that is due to our Lord and Savior! This is my own interpretation of this verse, without the help of any other resources. Blessings! Nolan |
