Bible Question: The people that were "saved" before Abramham died and the other side of "hell" became Abrahams bossom where did they go? |
Bible Answer: In the OT they went to Sheol (the abode of the dead), which is called Hades in the NT. Christ called it 'Paradise' when talking to the thief (Luke 23:43). I'm sure it was the same before Abraham died. Some of the non-canonical books, such as the Gospel of Nicodemus, refer to the same place and indicate that Adam and Seth along with several others were there too. |
