Bible Question: Where did the souls of the believers go before Christ came? Were they sent to Heaven, Hell, Paradise, Sheol? |
Bible Answer: Sheol in the old testament represents a place of departed spirits. Both paradise and the place of torment were located here separated by a great chasma. I suppose this is what gave birth to the doctrine of purgatory. If you are a Catholic I meant no offense. but since the ascention of Christ this place no longer exist. |
