AMPLIFIED 2015 | Luke 16:1 Now Jesus was also saying to the disciples, "There was a certain rich man who had a manager [of his estate], and accusations [against this man] were brought to him, that this man was squandering his [master's] possessions. |
Bible Question: What point was Jesus making with this parable? (Luke 16.1-18) Someone said to me that he was condoning stealing, but that CAN'T be right (see v17). As near as I can tell, Jesus was saying that it was shrewd to correct past wrongs to ingratiate oneself. |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... Luke 16:1-15 ... There are several views if this is right, inHis eyes or not. Look at verse 15 - I think He is rebuking the leaders. They were setting themselves up for the future, only on earth. |
