Bible Question (short): Explain Luke 15:31 It is a given. |
Question (full): We were studying the Prodigal Son. One point made was that the whole village would know the Prodigal son received his inheritance. The question is that line says "All I have is yours." (Luke 15:31) Not all is yours if you forgive your brother. Any judge in that time would definitely side with the older son. If all refers to the Kingdom, don't us Pharisees today still receive the Kingdom if we believe? I know it is better to forgive but ... Jesus said everything for a reason. Why did He say that everything is yours to the older son? |
