Bible Question: can u be forgiven for your sins if you are at the point of death |
Bible Answer: Of course! Consider the thief on the cross. Rom 8:1,2 Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. The Bible does not teach that unconfessed sin will disqualify one from salvation. God's elect have had all their sins (past, present and future) forgiven at Calvary. There is NOTHING we can do to add or subtract from His work on our behalf. If we look at the BIG picture, we see that our forgiveness from sin was accomplished long before we were born! Eph 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will,... Grace and Peace, John |
