Bible Question: when jesus told the rich young ruler in mark to take up his cross and follow him ,what is the man's cross |
Bible Answer: This is only one scripture that tells the story, but there are many more. Stories where men were invited to follow but all claimed to have earthly thngs to accomplish before following. Taking up the cross also means surviving in the world and becoming more like Christ each day, resisting the constant weakness to the world's sin. This is our challenge, fortunatly we have been sent a Christ that will mediate for us when we do come up short of perfection. If we live only in the world, our cross will be huge, if we live in Christ, our burden will be taken for us. |
