Bible Question: Matthew 25:12 why did the bridegroom not know them after the door was closed.I am only seeking an understanding of this verse. Thank you. |
Bible Answer: Have a look at Matthew 7:23. where Jesus says "I never knew you", whereas at 25:12 it is "I do not know you". In both cases He is saying, you do not believe in me, you are not saved. It is just His way of saying, I never entered your body in the person of my other self, the Holy Spitit. He is employing the Biblical use of the word "Know" as demonstrated at Gen 4:1, where it is written "Adam knew Eve his wife, and she concived", which refers to the entry by one person into the body of another person. |
